Data confirms it, crime in Hamilton is trending down with 2 major exceptions

When CBC asked some people in downtown Hamilton about safety in the city last week, most said they felt at least somewhat unsafe.

Those same people said they were surprised when a reporter told them overall, crime rates in Hamilton have stayed almost consistently below both provincial and national averages for the past five years. That's according to data Statistics Canada published in July.
